Honeywell generator review of the HW5500EL
What is most notable about this heavy duty Honeywell generator is that it is exceptionally quite.
It provides 6875 watts of power which will let you run many vital appliances whereas most other generators only provide for small appliance or lighting use. This is the Honeywell powerhouse of portable gas generators.
This particular model is CARB compliant so it can be sold in California.
The HW5500EL is just as easy to use as it's smaller brothers. One touch starting via a battery powered electric starter. If the battery ever goes dead, there is a recoil pull start also. It has the same smart step feature control panel all the latest models have.
The Honeywell generator is electronics safe with a proven voltage regulator. With 4 standard outlets and one 30 amp outlet, you will be able to weather the disaster in comfort.
The HW5500EL Honeywell generator has a large 6.5gallon gas tank. This is good for 11 hours of use if you are just running a couple of things at a time.
It weighs over 200 pounds but they have some solid and true rubber wheels that roll fairly easily. My wife can move it if I am not around.
Overall I will conclude this Honeywell generator review of the HW5500EL by saying this is a great generator for the price. Amazon is selling it at a discount to what the stores sell it and they will ship it free. You would have to pay twice the price for this much power in another brand.
